Osteopathy is a manual treatment method that originated in the USA. It is based on the principle “life is movement” (Dr. AT Still), which means not only the “forward” movement depending on the skeleton, the joints and the muscles, but all movements, including the fine, rhythmic movements inherent to almost all body structures and organs. It is a diagnostic and therapeutic method which assumes that all body tissues are directly or indirectly connected. In a careful manual diagnosis, movement reductions are detected and appropriate impulses are used to achieve the best possible restoration of mobility and individual balance. We offer osteopathic manual treatment techniques in the context of individualised pain therapy and have used it successfully in other chronic diseases in the area of the musculoskeletal system, the gastrointestinal tract and the nervous system.
